List of drop-boxes – The “Watched Folders” list displays the folders that are
being scanned for new documents. Purepage Server will attempt to render any
new documents appearing in these folders into HTML based on the folder settings
and options. For example, in the example above, the administrator has setup 5
drop-boxes to be watched for new documents to publish.
NOTE:
- Selecting and holding your mouse over an item in this list will display a popup
that contains all the folder’s properties.
- Options the administrator sets for Purepage Server are global to all the drop-
boxes i.e. all the documents from the different drop-boxes will be converted using
the same settings.
How often should Purepage Server scan for new documents? This interval
(measured in seconds) is specified in the “Scan folder every” box. You can leave
this value or change it to a value that better suits your needs.
NOTE: Clicking the Scan Now button (
) will force Purepage Server to start
scanning the folders for new documents immediately.
Adding, editing and removing drop-boxes – To remove an existing drop-box
from the list, select the item in the list and click the “Remove” button. A prompt
will appear asking you to confirm that you really do wish to remove the folder.
Adding or editing a folder is simple - to add, click the “Add” button and to edit an
existing folder, click the “Edit” button. Performing either of these actions will
pause any current conversion job and display the folder properties screen:
