4.0 User Guide
Installation
Follow these simple steps to install the Purepage Server 4.0 (IMPORTANT: Make
sure the path where you wish to install Purepage Server is no longer than 200
characters long):
1.
Ensure your system meets the minimum system requirements. See the System
Requirements section below for more information.
2.
Make sure you have read, understood and agreed to the license agreement
contained within this document.
3.
Download the latest Purepage Server software installer from our web site
which can be found at: http://www.purepage.com
4.
Run the installer you have just downloaded. Note: You will need to be logged
in with Administrator privileges to run the installer.
5.
Once the installer has finished running it is very important to reboot your
system before using Purepage Server in any way.
6.
Install any additional viewing/printing software for the file types you would
like Purepage Server to render. See the section below for detailed
instructions.
Installing Viewing and Printing Software
To render any file into HTML, Purepage Server requires that you install software
capable of viewing and printing that particular file format. For example, to render
Microsoft Word documents into HTML you should install the full version of
Microsoft Word (MS Word viewer will not work).
