Upgrading to Purepage Server 4.0
If you are upgrading from version 3.0 your old settings are automatically imported for
you. The old 3.0 settings are saved in a back-up file called “30Folders.dat” in the
folder where Purepage Server was installed.
Version 4.0 of Purepage Server offers a whole new range of functionality. Changes
include:
Site Portals – Purepage Server now provides portal style navigation including
the ability to add full text search and a familiar form of navigation for the
visitors to your site.

Cross document links – This allows you to link relevant documents together,
which makes navigating your content even easier.
Settings per site – make different groups of information behave differently
with individual site settings. Give each department a different look or provide
special settings for particular files.
Error logging – at a glance, you can see that your site published successfully or
if issues arise, Purepage Server’s sophisticated logging system quickly allows
you to track the problem.
