Purepage Server 4.0
System Requirements
Server (where Purepage Server is installed)
Operating system
Windows NT 4 (SP 6 or later), 2000, XP or later.
Hardware
Any IBM-PC compatible platform (suggested minimum requirements: Pentium 166 Mhz or faster with at least 64MB
of RAM). At least 100 MB available hard disk space.
Web server
All popular web servers are supported. Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) is recommended due to its tight
integration with Microsoft Index Server which may be used for Site searching and indexing.
Search engine
All popular web search engines are supported for Site indexing and searching. Microsoft Index Server is
recommended due to its tight integration with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) which may be used as
your web server.
Printing software
For each document type you wish Purepage Server to be able to publish to your Site, you will need an application
capable of printing that document (using Windows drag and drop printing) installed. For example, installing MS Office
to handle the printing of Office documents.
Viewing and contributing content
Operating system and web browser
Any platform running a version 4.x browser or later (including Internet Explorer 4.x and later, Netscape Navigation
4.x and later, Opera etc.). To contribute content using the browser users need to be using Internet Explorer 4.x or
later. To contribute content using either FTP or file server submittal all browsers are supported.
No downloading, installation or maintaining of software on end users machines is necessary!
