Purepage SDK
Supported Applications and Document Formats
As an indication, here is a small list of some of the applications that you can successfully render into HTML using Purepage SDK. For each file format you wish to render into HTML, Purepage requires an application
capable of printing that format installed on the same machine as Purepage. For example, for Purepage to produce HTML renditions from Microsoft Word documents, you would need to ensure the full version of Microsoft
Word is installed. Many file formats are capable of being viewed and printed by more than one application.
Some of the formats listed below do not support standard Windows drag and drop printing and require additional developer coding to print the document format to the Purepage printer. For
example, Adobe PageMaker.
Microsoft Office – is capable of viewing and printing a large number of file formats.
Installing the free Conversion Pack from the Office Resource Kit will substantially increase the number of formats supported by Microsoft Office.
Third Party Viewers – a number of third party applications that are capable of viewing and printing a large number of file formats are available. QuickView Plus distributed by Avantstar (www.avantstar.com) is capable of viewing and printing over 200 file formats without needing the original authoring applications installed.
Some formats in the list below require QuickView Plus to convert correctly; these formats are tagged with a blue asterisk
